About Us
Our approach is based upon the combined expertise of three diverse and talented process improvement specialists. Each have more than 25 years’ experience in operations management and process improvement. We have combined their expertise to deliver solutions in what is known as TLS management for Lean Laboratories.
Our Lean Expert
John Veatch is our Toyota Production System (TPS) expert. John founded a Lean implementation and training company, Lean Concepts, Inc in 1998. John has over 20 years’ of experience learning and applying TPS in manufacturing, service, and healthcare. He was formally trained in Japan and lived in Toyota City. John is known as a practical operations manager who has been successful with product and process development, production management , and process improvement.
Our Black Belt
Gina Kopera is our certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Gina founded an industrial engineering and consulting company RLK, LLC in 2002. She holds B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Virginia State University and an M.S. from Purdue University. Gina has extensive experience in operations management and industrial engineering including quality control, process layout, inventory management, and process automation. In addition to consulting, Gina places Six Sigma process improvement experts through her temporary agency “10 til 2”.
Our TOC “Jonah”
Michael Pitcher founded Operations Excellence Consulting, Inc in 1996. Michael is certified by APICS and the TOC International Certification Organization. He holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Oberlin College and an M.B.A. in Executive Management from Ashland University. Michael has experience in quality control, process design, product development, project management and operations management. He has authored a patent and won company awards for process improvement. Michael designed and assisted with implementing solutions that led to clients having won several awards such as the “Manufacturing Magic Award”, “TOC Implementation of the Year”, and the “Ptak prize for Supply Chain Excellence” .
